I’m Brittany, a senior working towards my BFA degree at the University of Michigan. Grand Rapids is the place I call home, where I am the youngest of 5 and an aunt to three little munchkins. Family is everything to me, so when I’m not working on a project you’ll find me with them! or watching HGTV.

 

Art has always been my passion growing up, but design recently stole my heart. Having worked closely with an interior designer, I have discovered where my true passion lies: creating spaces that make a house a home. I want to curate homes with my eye for comforting color schemes and handmade ceramic accessories.

I recently returned from studying in the depths of Florence, Italy where I expanded my knowledge in ceramics and textiles. I fell in love with the Italian colors and scenery. I grew a deeper love for dying fabric and using a technique called batik. I plan to use the skills I've obtained and continue researching textiles and natural dye methods during my final year at U of M as I work on my thesis project.

Displayed for you are various projects that have brought me to where I am today. From drawing and digital works to 3 dimensional products, this is my journey & I’d like to take you along for the ride!
